Technical Alert #7
for All Users of Factory CommanderTM v2.3.1 to v2.3.3
Summary: In Factory CommanderTM versions 2.3.1 to 2.3.3, when creating new models, error messages occur when calculations for these models are run at a later date.
Details: In the 2.3.1, 2.3.2, and 2.3.3 releases of Factory CommanderTM, a series of error messages will appear when running model calculations if the model was created in the same release version (as opposed to being updated from a previous version). An example of one such message is "Variable 'uc_method' not found". These errors are due to the new model starting template file, "newmodel.fcm", not having the most recent data fields included at the time when the new model was created.
This issue has been resolved in the v2.3.4 update to Factory CommanderTM. This update will ship to warranty and maintenance contract customers shortly.
Workaround: Avoid using the new model feature. Instead, copy a previously existing model and use it as the starting point for your new model.
