Technical Alert For Windows Users of
TWO COOL® For Wafer Fab

It is possible for Windows users to experience incorrect "created" and "revised" dates in the INFORMATIONAL INPUT section to TWO COOL®. These dates are automatically generated by the database function when a complete model is saved or updated based on the system clock. The display of these dates is affected by the choice of date systems inside Excel.

Should TWO COOL® display "created" and "revised" dates that are incorrect, implement the following procedures.

Verify that the system clock/date is correctly set in Windows. If the system clock is correct, choose one of the solutions listed below.

For Excel 4.0:

1. Open Excel
2. Open CHIPFAB1.XLS
3. From the Excel Menu Bar Select
   • Options:Calculation:Sheet Options
   • Deselect the 1904 Date System
   • Select OK
4. Save CHIPFAB1.XLS
5. Repeat Steps 2 to 4 for CHIPFAB2.XLS
6. Quit Excel

For Excel 5.0:

1. Open Excel
2. Open CHIPFAB1.XLS
3. From the Excel Menu Bar Select
   • Tools:Options:Calculation:Workbook Options
   • Deselect the 1904 Date System
     Select OK
4. Save CHIPFAB1.XLS
   Answer NO When Prompted to Save As Excel 5.0 Format
5. Repeat Steps 2 to 4 for CHIPFAB2.XLS
6. Quit Excel
