WWK Introduces COO Software
May 24, 1996 (Dublin, CA) - It was announced today that Wright Williams & Kelly has begun shipping the latest enhancement to its TWO COOL® family of cost of ownership modeling software programs. This latest revision brings powerful cost of ownership tools to the mask and reticle manufacturing community.
"Historic COO models have been wafer and device oriented. This forced other modelers to use work-arounds and incorrect nomenclature", states David Jimenez, WWK's Vice President and General Manager. "With the modular architecture of our TWO COOL® product line, WWK is able to develop application specific cost of ownership software packages with very short development cycles."
The first shipments of TWO COOL® for Mask Manufacturing have already taken place. Initial users include SEMATECH, IBM, Bell Labs, Lawrence Livermore National Labs, and Advanced Lithography Group.
"We are very excited by what we have seen in this new COO package", states Daren Dance, WWK's Manager of Applications R&D. " TWO COOL® will allow mask and reticle equipment suppliers, mask shops, and technology developers to better understand their process costs and development decisions. WWK has also committed to the near-term introduction of a COO extension. This program will use database files generated by TWO COOL® to calculate capacity adjusted multi-step process costing."
