WWK Receives Texas Instruments
April 7, 1997 (Dublin, CA) - Wright Williams & Kelly (WWK) announced today its receipt of the prestigious Texas Instruments Supplier Excellence Award for 1996. This award has been given annually since 1982 to those select few suppliers whose quality, delivery, and overall support is outstanding. This represents less than one half of one percent of Texas Instruments' (TI's) suppliers worldwide.
"WWK is one of only nine companies to win this award in support of wafer fab operations," stated Rob Simpson, Director of Capital Equipment Procurement for TI's Worldwide Procurement and Logistics. "WWK has impacted our business on a fundamental level. Our Equipment Capability Comparison, the basis for our wafer fab equipment purchases, is heavily weighted by the COO analysis results we receive from WWK's TWO COOL® Cost of Ownership software."
"WWK is the first company that my organization has ever nominated for this award," says David L. Bouldin, TI's Manager of Equipment Evaluation/Improvement Methods. "They have provided us the software and training tools we need to effectively and efficiently manage our multi-billion dollar capital asset portfolio."
"I have had the opportunity to work with WWK on a very detailed level dating back to the original TWO COOL® beta sites," added Tim Szabo, TI's Cost of Ownership Coordinator for the Equipment Evaluation/Improvement Methods Group. "One of the main reasons they won this award is that they listen to what their customers say and then deliver products and services that exceed their expectations."
"While this award is in some ways a culmination of our hard work, it really is just the beginning. WWK now judges its accomplishments against even higher levels of customer satisfaction," states David Jimenez, WWK's VP & GM. "WWK would not be the organization it has become without the support it has received from TI."
"Receiving recognition from Texas Instruments brings fulfillment to the strategic vision we set for WWK five years ago in developing and applying productivity tools. It has been a gratifying experience to work with people who set the standard for true business partnering," says Michael Wright co-founder of WWK and current Senior VP & GM of Integrated Solutions International.
